Bodrum Kızılağaç village is located only a 10 min drive from Bodrum Centre.  Kızılağaç village offers the traditional standard village life with a few local shops with basic supplies catered for. A supermarket is also available. In addition, local and foreign tourists have the opportunity to eat organic fruits and vegetables from the village market set up on certain days in Kızılağaç Bay with the main source of income for the locals being tangerine and olive cultivation.

The home of the legendary drummer of the Moğollar group, Engin Yörükoğlu, spent his last years in the village. /his home has now been converted into a museum - Yörükoğlu Music and Art House and is free of charge.

The nearby Yalıçiftlik village is located after Kargıcak Bay where there are natural beaches and many restaurants in the region to eat and drink. The real name of Yalıçiftlik village is Çiftlik Köy.
